Are you a nursing student or emergency nurse with less than 5 years of experience interested in connecting with experienced emergency nurses in Northern California and learn more about how to establish your career with support from your local ENA Chapter members?
Consider joining the East Bay & Sacramento ENA Chapters Emerging Professional Facebook Group! The goal of this group is to foster a safe space for learning, advisement, mentorship, and professional development.
If you know people who might benefit from this group, please invite them! Note that this group is specifically for current or future NORTHERN CALIFORNIA emergency nurse professionals. If you know people who would benefit from this type of online support but do not live in our area, encourage them to search for the general ENA Emerging Professional Facebook Group.

Chapter Report to State Council
The last state meeting was in our city and we had a good turnout, Including 4 nursing students who came to check out ENA.
We sent an email to all members wishing them a Happy Nurses’ Month in May. Our next dinner meeting is still to be announced. We also advised our members to be sure and register for the National ENA Conference in San Diego in San Diego. We also posted the fliers announcing the San Francisco Traumacon on June 5 at SFGH and the So Cal Emergency Care Conference in San Diego on August 12 with links to register for both.

Membership numbers are still growing.

We had a very fun Holiday party dinner at Zinfandel restaurant in Sacramento on December 17. It was well-attended with over 20 members and friends present. Gifts were exchanged and we brought each other up to date on our lives. Our next chapter meeting has been moved to February 24 at the Siena restaurant in El Dorado Hills. Overall the chapter is doing well with 700+ members.
We had all 3 of our board members attend SCLO in San Diego in January. We had a legislative review day and read hundreds of California bills for 2020 legislative day preparation. Sacramento not only hosts legislative day, but is home to both State Government affairs chairs. Most of the first part of the year was spent helping prepare for that. We have scheduled an all day symposium in June (now rescheduled to November) and have been working on planning for that.
Hello everyone,January 2020 started off with our chapter meeting, we had a great turnout that included a couple of Sac State Nursing Students. I have a great connection with Sac State CSNA https://cnsa.org by engaging their participation on social media. We are looking forward to hosting Legislative Day on March 4th and the State Meeting. https://www.californiaena.org/legislative-day-registration
Holiday Inn Express on 16th Street in Sacramento is an alternative to hotel lodging with free parking and close to the capitol. Enjoy the capitol city and take the opportunity to catch a Broadway show while you’re in town https://www.broadwaysacramento.com/production/a-bronx-tale.
